Jim Cyrulewski - Associate

  • 37 years of experience in the electricity utility business working for initially Detroit Edison and then ITCTransmission.
  • Vice President for Operations Policy for ITC. Responsible for internal reviews of ECAR, Reliability First and NERC SARs and Standards and development of company responses.
  • Concurrently served on the Board of Reliability First Corporation in its initial startup year. Worked with staff to develop goals and objectives.
  • Vice President for Operations for ITC and responsible for the transition of Balancing Authority and Transmission Operator functions from Detroit Edison to ITC. This included the installation of a new EMS system in 13 months.
  • Manager of Michigan Electric Power Coordination Center that operated the Michigan Electric Coordinated System (MECS) Control Area for Consumers Energy and Detroit Edison. Responsible for project that integrated MECS into Midwest ISO.
  • Serve as Chairman of NERC Functional Model Working Group
  • Member of Balancing Resources and Demand Standards Drafting Team
